Class Overview
In Social Studies this year we will be studying geography. We will travel around the world and learn about the physical and cultural geography of different countries on each of the continents. You will learn about physical features, cultures, and economics (including different types of governments) in each of the units. You will improve your mapping skills, as well as learn to work collaboratively with others on projects.

Note to Parents
I look forward to working with you throughout the year to make the transition to middle school a success for your child. There are many ways to stay informed about your child’s progress. The easiest way is to log on to the Infinite Campus Portal to view your child’s grades. You can do this 24/7 from any computer with Internet access. Report cards are sent home at the end of each 9-week term; progress reports are sent in the middle of each term. Both reports must be signed and returned to your child’s teacher. If you have a concern you would like either myself or the other teachers to know about, you can email us or set up a conference. Call 869-4200 to set up an appointment with the 6th grade team.
